THE NEIGHBORHOOD
We look for properties that aren’t subject to noise from the highway and trains that run through Canmore. Because we face south in this unit, the highway is behind you, with another building in front to absorb most of the sound from the trains. We are also away from the main tourist accommodation strip on Kananaskis Way, so it’s definitely quieter in this part of town, while still being a short walk to shopping, restaurants, etc…
GETTING AROUND
Your best bet to get the most out of a visit to the Canadian Rockies is to rent a car. We suggest renting one at the airport in Calgary. Once you’re here, you can absolutely walk into town and to nearby restaurants, but you want a cab for visiting the national park and to get to the nearby ski hills.
